Ancestor Feast

  • Rounds Hall, Camp Sealth 14500 SW Camp Sealth Rd, Vashon, WA, 98070 United States (map)

At one point or another we all may have been lucky enough to have felt the love and support of our ancestors – a grandparent, uncle, aunt, cousin, or others who had come before us. Although they may not be present in our daily lives today, we can remember them and recreate that feeling of sweetness and support. In doing so, we open ourselves to feeling more connected with life.

Welcome to VWP’s Ancestor Feast; a free Community Celebration where we honor our ancestors and create connections with each other and the land.

This is a FREE event, and you’re invited to bring food from your family or ancestral heritage, as well as pictures/objects that honor those in your life that have passed on. We’ll feast, sing, share stories, and celebrate our diverse lineages and connection to the nature of all beings.

Please bring:

  • Potluck dish to share (labeled with ingredients)

  • Plates, bowls, drinking glass, utensils for your family

  • Picture of object for the Ancestor Table

  • A brief story or song to share from your family’s cultural lineage
